writer, born at LTxbridge, June, 1827. Editor
of the Musical Gazette. Held various London
organ appointments. He died at London,
December 24, 1865. Composer of " Daniel,"
oratorio, 1852, and a number of part-songs,
ballads, pieces of dance music, etc.
