[E] Lane, E. Burritt, organist and composer,
born at Christchurch, Hants, in 1849. Studied
at Trinity College, London ; now Examiner
there. Graduated Mus. Bac, Durham, 1891.
Orgp,nist of Bromley Parish Church to 1896 ;
then appointed to New Weighhouse Congre-
gational Church, Duke Street, Grosvenor
Square, London. Is professor of organ, etc.,
at Bromley School of Music. Has published
a Te Deum, and other Church music ; also
songs. Contributed articles to CasseU's Maga-
zine, Academic Gazette, and Musical Neivs.
