Cooper, John Wilbye

[E] Cooper, John Wilbye, tenor vocalist and
author. He sang at the first Leeds Festival,
in 1858, and at the Worcester Festival of
1863. In the concert room he was a favourite
for a good many years. He retired for some
time before his death, in London, March 19,
1885. Author of "The Voice, the Music of
Language, and the Soul of Song," London,
1874. Editor of " Cramer's Vocal School."
