- Corbett, William
[E] Corbett, William, composer and violinist,
born about 1669. Member of King's Band.
Travelled in Italy, Burney says, on behalf of
the English Government, who paid him to
watch the movements of the Pretender.
Returned to England, 1740, where he died,
in 1748. He collected a valuable musical

for two flutes and bass, London, 1707 ; Op. 4,
