[E] Cordner, William John, organist, born
at Duncannon, Wexford, Ireland, 1826. Went
to Australia in 1854, and was organist at
St. Patrick's, Sydney, until 1856, when he
was appointed to St. Mary's R. C. Cathedral,
an office he held until his death, July 15,
1870. He was held in much estimation as
a teacher.
