Dyne, John

[E] Dyne, John, composer and alto vocalist
of the 18th century. He was a gentleman of
the Chapel Royal in 1772 ; a Lay-Vicar of
Westminster Abbey in 1779 ; and Principal
at the Handel Commemoration in 1784. He
committed suicide on October 30, 1788. He
composed prize and other glees, songs, etc.
