Kirkhope, John

[E] Kirkhope, John, amateur musician and
conductor, born at Edinburgh, November,
1844. In 1881 he established a choir which
has performed works of a very high class,
chiefly in Edinburgh. The choir is one of
the best in Scotland, both as regards the
finish of its performances and the quality of
the works performed.
