[E] Lee, David, organist. He held the appoint-
ment of City organist, Melbourne, Australia,
for a number of years ; also conductor of
Melbourne Philharmonic Society, which has
produced Handel's oratorios, among them
"Jephtha" in 1884, for the first time in
Australia. In 1887 he visited England, and
played at the Crj'stal and Alexandra Palaces,
also in the provinces. He was made an hon-
orary member of the College of Organists
that year.
