[E] Linley, Eliza Ann, the "Maid of Bath,"
soprano vocalist, daughter of Thomas Linley,
senior, born at Bath, in 1754. She was
trained by her father, and sang at the Bath
concerts, and in London, Worcester, Hereford,
and Gloucester Festivals. She eloped with
and married R. B. Sheridan in 1773. She
died at Bristol, June 28, 1792.
