Strathnaver, February 26, 1739 ; died in India,
1762. Author of "A Collection of Bagpipe
Music," Edinburgh, 1803. He assisted his
"brother Patrick in the compilation of his col-
lection. His "Treatise on the theory of the
Scots Highland bagpipe " is published in the
collection of 1803, which was edited by Pat-
rick — see below.
