The British Musical Biography

[E] McLaren, Daniel, violinist and composer,
who was born in Perthshire in the latter part
of last century. He resided in Edinburgh
as a teacher and performer, and probably
died there about 1820. He published " A
collection of strathspey reels, etc., with a
bass for violoncello or harpsichord," Edin-
burgh [1794] .
