[E] Macphee, Donald, author and bagjpipe
maker, born at Coatbridge in 1841, died near
Glasgow, December 9, 1880. He worked in
Glasgow at his trade. Author of A Selection
of Music for the Highland Bagpipe, with a
complete tutor, Glasgow, 1876. Marches,
quicksteps, reels, and strathspeys, and collec-
tions of Pibrochs, 1879, for the bagpipes, etc.
