[E] Mallett, Louis Balfour, violinist and
composer, died in London, December 12, 1891,
at the early age of 24. He was an able execu-
tant, and showed much promise as a composer.
His works were not numerous, consisting of
a few pieces for the pianoforte, a Gavotte in
F for violin and pianoforte, and a set of seven
pieces for the same instruments.
