Marshall, William

[E] Marshall, William, organist and com-
poser, was born in 1806. He became a chor-
ister in the Chapel Royal, under J. S. Smith
and W. Hawes, and in Christ Church, and
St. John's College, Oxford, 1823. Organist of
All Saints', Oxford. Mus. Bac, Oxon., 1826,
Mus. Doc, Oxon., January, 1840. Organist
of St. j\Iary's Church, Kidderminster, 1846.
He died at Handsworth, August 17, 1875.
