Marshall, Oldfield Sherwin

[E] Marshall, Oldfield Sherwin, organist
and pianist. In 1883 he was a^jpointed to the
Anglo-American Church, Rome ; and in 1890
succeeded Dr. Mark J. Monk as organist of
the Parish Church, Banbury. He has appeared
as pianist at various concerts; and an orches-
tral Suite of his composition was performed
at Abingdon in 1889. In 1884 he was elected
Associate of Merit of the Academy of St.
Cecilia, Rome, the only Englishman thus
distinguished.
