[E] Martin, Jonathan, organist and com-
poser, born in 1715. Chorister in the Chapel
Royal under Croft. He studied the organ
under Rosingrave, and became deputy of St.
George's, Hanover Square, London, and
organist of the Chapel Royal in 1736. He
