- Meadowcroft, John
[E] Meadowcroft, John, organist and com-
poser, was born in 1827, He was a chorister
in Manchester Cathedral, and for ten years
honorary organist at the cathedral evening
services. He died at Scarborough, August
28, 1873. Composer of chants and editor of
