Miller, William

[E] Miller, William, organist and author,
was born in 1809. He was the first organist
of the Sacred Harmonic Society, London,
and held the post for 14 years. From 1832
till 1873 he was organist of St. Giles', Cripple-
gate, London, in which he took much interest
and was active in raising funds for its restora-
tion. He died at London, June 25, 1873.
Author of a history of St. Giles' Church ; a
little brochure, entitled, " Jottings in Kent,"
etc.
