[E] Mountain, Sarah or Sophia, born
Wilkinson, soprano vocalist, was born in 1768.
She made an appearance in 1782, but after-
wards sang with Tate Wilkinson's Company,
at Hull, and there made her debxit in 1786.
In the same year she sang in Leeds and in
Liverpool. She married Mr. Mountain, a
violinist, in 1786. She afterwards sang at
Covent Garden, and also in Dublin. In 1814
she retired, and died at Hammersmith, Lon-
don, July 1, 1841.
