Nash, or Naish, F

[E] Nash, or Naish, F., bass vocalist, known
as SiGNOR Franco Novara, born in the West
of England. Made his dehut at Her Majesty's
Theatre, May 28, 1881, as Mephistophelrf', in
" Faust." He sang with the Carl Rosa
Company in 1883; at Covent Garden, 1889,
etc. He has been on tour with Madame
Patti, and has sung in many parts of the
kingdom. In 1896 he was appointed a pro-
fessor of singing at the R.A.M. He has
composed some songs : Earl Douglas ; The
bold, bad Baron ; Vieni con me, etc. ; The
plighting kiss, duet.
