- Nathan, Isaac
[E] Nathan, Isaac, composer and writer, was
born at Canterbury of Jewish parents, 1792.
He was educated at Cambridge, and studied
music under D. Corri. He sang at Covent
Garden Theatre, and afterwards emigrated to
Melbourne, Australia, in February, 1841.
He was killed in Sydney, January 15, 18G4.[W] Works. — Operas : Sweethearts and Wives,
