Nicholl, Horace Wadham

[E] Nicholl, Horace Wadham, composer,
born at West Bromwich, Staffordshire, March
17, 1848. Son of a musician of some local
repute. He has been for many years resident
in New York. Of his works, a " Romance
Antique " for orchestra was produced at New
York in 1885 ; and " Cloister Scene," for soli,
chorus, and orchestra, at the Pittsburgh
Festival, 1889. He is said to have written a
Tetralogy, "The Fall of Man ; Abraham;
Isaac ; and Jacob."
