[E] Owen, David, bandmaster and conductor.
He was bandmaster of a Highland regiment
for some time, and in 1835 succeeded his
father as bandmaster of the 2nd Dragoon
Guards (Scots Greys). He died in 1867.[+] His younger brother, James Arthur Owen,
was a pianist and clarionet player. He was
born in 1829, and died at Brighton, November
5, 1881. Composer of a Romance for cornet
and pf. (1855), and a large number of polkas,
valses, marches, galops, etc., for pf. and
