[E] Paddon, James, organist and composer,
was l)orn at Exeter about 1768. Educated
in the Cathedral there, and was organist of
the Cathedral from 1803. Died at Exeter,
June 14, 1835. He composed some sacred
music.

[+] John Paddon, probably the son of the
foregoing, composed " Sacred Music, used at
Quebec Chapel," London [1810] ; Ballads,
dance music, etc. Author of " System of
Musical Education," London, 1818.
