[E] Pearson Arthur, organist and composer,
born at Stanningley, near Leeds, April 22,
1866. He is organist at St. Paul's Church,
Huddersfield ; and also Borough organist.
His cantata, " The Promised Land," was
produced at New Wortley, November 29, 1885.
He has composed other vocal music, and was
editor of The Yorkshire Musician.
