[E] Ree, Louis, English pianist and composer,
pupil of the Stuttgart Conservatorium, and of
Leschetitzky at Vienna, in which city he re-
sides. Played at concerts, Stuttgart, 18&6, and
in February, 1 888, gave what was claimed to be
the frst concert of English music in Vienna.
His compositions embrace a suite. Fete Cham-
petre, for pf. ; variations and fugue, for two
pianos ; pieces for violin and pf., etc.
