- Richardson, Vaughan
[E] Richardson, Vaughan, organist and
composer, was born in the latter half of the
17th century. He studied under Blow in the
Chapel Royal. Organist of Winchester Cathe-
dral, 1695. He died in 1729.[W] Works. — A Collection of new Songs for 1,
2, and 3 voices, accompany'd with Instru-
ments, London, 1701. Odes, cantatas, etc.
Anthems and songs. The well-known anthem
"O how amiable are Thy dwellings" is by
