Richardson, William

[E] Richardson, William, organist and
composer, was a chorister in the Chapel Royal,
and organist of St. Nicholas' Church, Dept-
ford, London, 1697. He died about 1731-32.
He composed " Lessons for the harpsichord
or spinet," London, 1708; and "The Pious
Recreation, containing a new sett of psalm
tunes...," London, 1729. This contains
" Greenwich," a popular psalm tune.

[+] His brother, Pelham Richardson, was
also an organist.
