[E] Robertson, Alexander, musician and
teacher of first part of present century. He
taught the pf. on the Logierian system, and
was, in company with Penson, a violinist, as
musicseller in Edinburgh. He afterwards
carried on a music -publishing business in
partnership with his brother John. Robertson
published Marshall's Reels and Strathspeys,
and many other Scottish musical works.
