[E] Robertson, John, musician and publisher,
born aliout 1777. He was precentor of the
Barony Church in Glasgow, and had a music-
selling business in the same city. He died at
Glasgow, March 11, 1827. Compiler rf "a
selection of the best Psalm and Hymn Tunes,
some of which are original, in four parts.."
Glasgow, 1814. " The Seraph : a selection of
Psalm and Hymn Tunes.." [1827]; also
Glasgow [1840] . These collections were
afterwards issued in oblong volumes as
"Brown's Robertson's Selection of Sacred
Music."
