- Saintwix, Thomas
[E] Saintwix, Thomas, musician of the 15th
century, who was one of the earliest doctors
of music. In 1463 he was made blaster of
King's Hall, Cambridge, by Edward IV. He
had been previously made Mus. Doc, Cam-
bridge, and he also held the appointment of
chaplain to the king. Saintwix died in 1467.entry id: 359-R-55
