[E] Beale, Thurley, baritone vocalist, born
at Royston, Hertfordshire, April 23, 1849.
Studied under (Sir) Joseph Barnby, and was
a chorister at St. Andrew's, Wells Street,
London, and at St. Paul's Cathedral. A sin-
ger of repute, he has been heard at the prin-
cipal London and Provincial Concerts, the
Hereford Festival of 1879, &c.
