horn at Blackhoath, London, in 1830; died
at Brixton, London, March 13, 1862. She
wrote a number of novels, of which " Charles
Auchester," 1853, 3 vols., and "Rumour,"
1858, 3 vols., deal with music and musicians.

Auchester" is intended for INIendelssohn.
