about the middle of last century. He was a
teacher in Edinburgh, where he died on July
7, 1807. He edited " The Edinburgh Musical
Miscellany, a collection of the most approved
Scotch, Englisli, and Irish songs, set to
music," Edinburgh, 1792-3, 2 vols ; 2nd
edition, 1808, 2 vols.
