- Soaper, John
[E] Soaper, John, composer, born in 1748.
He was a lay-vicar of Westminster Abbey,
Gentleman of the Chapel Royal, and vicar-
choral of St. Paul's Cathedral. He died at
London, June 5, 1794, aged 51, and is buried
in the crypt of St. Paul's. Composer of
