Storace, Stephen

[E] Storace, Stephen, composer, born at
London in 1763. Son of Stefano Storace, an
Italian double-bass player. He studied under
his father, and at Naples in the Conservatorio
of St. Onofrio. Resided in London as com-
poser to the principal theatres. He died at
London, March 19, 1796.
