[E] Strong, David, tenor vocalist, born in
London, March 9, 1852. He has given con-
certs, and has appeared with success as a
vocalist ; and is well known as a teacher. In
1886, he was appointed a Gentleman of Her
Majesty's Chapel Royal, St. James', and also
