born at Manchester, April 12, 1853. Chorister
at Manchester Cathedral, and assistant-organ-
ist there later. Organist successively at
Salford ; Longsight; Parish Church, Eccles;
and now of St. Catherine's, Barton, near
Manchester. He is the composer of some pf.
pieces, songs, etc.
