composer, born at Bristol in 1835; died in
February, 1 887. Composer of Diana, operetta,
1884 ; quartet for pf. and strings. Fantasias,
galops, marches, gavottes, and numerous
transcriptions for pf. Part-songs and songs.
He gave concerts at which five of his own
