- Thudichum, Charlotte
[E] Thudichum, Charlotte, soprano vocalist,
born at Kensington, London. Her father,
German by birth, is a physiciaii of repute,
F.R.C.O., and her mother is descended from
a French Huguenot family. Miss Thudichum
studied under Manuel Garcia at the R.A.M.,
and won the Parepa-Rosa Scholarship, 1880,
and the Westmorland, 1882. In Paris she
studied opera with Madame Viardot. Sang
at the Monday Popular and Crystal Palace
Concerts in 1883 ; for the Birmingham Festi-
val Choral Society, November 1884; and else-
where, early arriving at success. Took the
part (with Miss Macintyre) of Rebecca in
Sullivan's " Ivanhoe," 1891. Undertook a long
