[E] Bexfield, William Richard, composer
and organist, was born at Norwich, April 27,
1824. He studied under Dr. Zachariah Buck.
Organist of Boston Church, Lincoln, 1846.
Mus. Bac, Oxon., 1846. Unsuccessful candi-
date for the Music Professorship of Oxford
University. Organist of St. Helen's Church,
Bishopsgate Street, London, 1848. Mus. Doc,
Cantab., 1849. He died at Loudon, October
29, 1853.

duced, Norwich, October 16, 1851 ; and at the
Norwich Festival, September 22, 1852 ; repro-
duced. Royal Albert Hall, London, i\.pril 15,
