- Boyce, William
[E] Boyce, William,- only son of the above,
was borb March 25th, 1764. He was intended
for the church, and sent to Oxford ; but com-
naitting some irregularity, was obliged to quit
that university without obtaining a degree.
He then became a double-bass player at the
opera and principal concerts, and was in the
orchestra at the Birmingham Festivals, 1802-5.
Considerable property coming to him, he lived
in retirement some years before his death,
which took place early in 1824.entry id: 56-L-24
