composer, born at Brentwood, Essex, July 24,
1830. Organist of Brentwood Parish Church,
1841 ; St. Edward's, Romford, 1852-7 ; Brent-
wood, 1857-85; St. Peter's, South Weald,
Brentford, 1889. Associated with the revival
of Gregorian music, and member of the Com-
mittee of the London Gregorian Choral Asso-
