of present time. Graduated Mus. Bac, 1878;
Mus. Doc, 1883, Oxford. Organist and choir-
master, St. James', Barrow-in-Furness, and
St. Paul's, Grange-over-Sands ; choirmaster,
Furness Association of Church Choirs. Con-
ductor of choral societies at Barrow, Ulverston
and Grange. His setting of Psalm 45 (Uni-
versity exercise for Mus. Doc), was performed
with success, April 9th, 1883. He has pub-
lished some church music, songs, etc
