[E] Campbell, William, Scottish collector,
who flourished in London, published about
1790, and later, " Campbell's First Book of
New and Favourite Country Dances aud
Strathspey Reels, for the harpsichord or vio-
lin." Afterwards issued a "Collection of the
newest and most favourite country dances and
reels," London, various dates. Of these col-
lections at least 23 books were issued.
