Cardigan, Cora

[E] Cardigan, Cora, flutist, born in London.
Studied under her father, and R. S. Rockstro.
Appeared flrst at the Koyal Music Hall,
Holborn, then at the Oxford, and the Royal
Aquarium. Her reputation as an artist being
now established, she appeared with success
on the concert platform, and gave a concert
in Prince's Hall, February 17th, 1885. She
has played at St. James's Hall ; at the Bow
and Bromley recitals ; and in the provinces.
Toured for two years in America, and has
fulfilled engagements in Berlin and Nice.
Her playing is remarkable for brilliancy of
execution, and purity of tone. In 1889, she
married Herr Louis Honig, a well-known
pianist and composer.
