The British Musical Biography

[E] Carew, Miss ? English soprano vocalist,
who was born in London, October 16th, 1799.
She studied under Welsh, and her parents,
and originally played small parts in Covent
Garden Theatre. She first appeared as an
operatic vocalist at Covent Garden, in July,
1815. Sang at the English Opera House,
1818, etc. She was also engaged for the
Philharmonic, and principal London and
provincial concerts. About 1823 she retired
from the stage. Died [ ?]
