Casson, Margaret

[E] Casson, Margaret, vocalist and composer,
who flourished about the beginning of the
present century. She wrote a number of
vocal pieces of varying merit, among which
may be named the songs : The Cuckoo ; At-
tend, ye nymphs [1790] ; Snowdrop ; Noon
[1790] ; God save the Queen, etc. ; The Pearl,
glee. Her biography has not been preserved.
