Alquin, Frank C. d'

[E] Alquin, Frank C. d', bass vocalist, born
in London, of German parentage. Studied at
Milan, under Visoni and Nava. Sang with
success in Italy and Germany; and has been
heard in concerts in various parts of Britain.
Now resident at Brighton as teacher of sing-
ing. When a child he studied the violoncello
under Piatti, and at bis concerts in Brighton
he frequently plays solos upon that instru-
ment. He is well-known as a song composer,
his publications including The carol singers;
Eomanza Pastorale ; L' Aube Nait (Victor
Hugo) ; and numerous others ; also the "Pre-
paratory Exercise for the Shake."
