- Clinton, George Arthur
[E] Clinton, George Arthur, clarinettist,
born at Newcastle-on-Tyne. For many years
a member of the Crystal Palace Orchestra,
and a soloist at the concerts there at least
since 1876. Principal clarinet in Her Majesty's
Private Band, and in the Philharmonic Or-
chestra. Professor of the Clarinet at R.A.M.
Has given Chamber Concerts of music for
wind instruments in various halls in London,
1892-6, and has played at the Saturday Popu-
lar Concerts, etc,entry id: 94-L-51
